Born of the collaboration between Bruno Messina, Berlioz Festival director and the conductor François-Xavier Roth, the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz (JOEHB) is an original formation, uniting some musicians of Les Siècles and young musicians from the best europeans conservatories. After two summer traineeships directed by musiciens of Les Siècles, the JOEHB presents the Shakespearian concert, imagined by Berlioz saturday, august 19th at Berlioz Festival (La Côte-Saint-André, Isère).

With the support of la Caisse des Dépôts, main sponsor.

Since 2010, the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz is a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to do some traineeships on appropriated instruments. They experience a complete professional immersion in contact with musicians of Les Siècles. They deepen their romantic repertoire knowledge and become more familiar with new instrumental practices.

Two traineeships are organized during summer : the first at Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and the second at Berlioz Festival of La Côte-Saint-André. Moreover, young musicians have access to several additionnal activities like a festival presentation, a museum visit or a little formation about administrative tasks of musician job. The experience concludes with an important concert at Berlioz Festival conducted by François-Xavier Roth. This year, the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz gives the Shakespearian concert, imagined by Berlioz. In fact, the composer has always wanted to listen all his works inspired by Shakespeare in the same concert. Unfortunately, he never got the possibility to realize his wish. Hundred years after his death, the JOEHB grants its.
