The Hector Berlioz European Youth Orchestra was founded in 2009 by the Festival Berlioz, with a view to providing an orchestral training course, unique in Europe, for young musicians.

As a real Orchestra-school, its goal is to encourage the professional insertion of the young students from the CNSM and high-level European Colleges of music who want to become professional orchestral musicians.

The orchestral training course and tutti rehearsals are under the direction of the internationally renowned maestro François-Xavier Roth, the recognized specialist of interpretation on period instruments.

For this 2018 season, the JOEHB will open the Berlioz Festival with a major lyric project, the Great Mass of the Dead (Requiem), op.5 Hector Berlioz on the prestigious stage of the Château Louis XI, with the participation of renowned soloists, Nicole Corti’s Spirito choir, the young symphonic choir, the Oratorio choir and the Auvergne regional choir.

The JOEHB recreates! You are between 18 and 30 years old, are pupils of the Poles Superiors, CNSMD (Paris and Lyon), major European conservatories, or students of CRR and CRD and want to live an unforgettable musical and human experience? Fill in the form quickly here!
